Marche Écossaise by DebussyThis publication of Marche Écossaise is revised “performers’ edition” differing in many ways from the first and subsequent editions. The work has, in the past, been seldom performed because of the way Debussy notated the score, including much problematic overlapping of the primo and secondo hands. The editors have reassigned notes to another hand when this offered a practical solution to awkward crossings. They have also made consistent the notations for phrasing, dynamics, and other interpretive indications. In creating this edition, they have taken care to remain true to the composer’s intentions.Order #WP612 | ![]() |
